I loved you on this spherical world,
You were the stable triangle,
That held me up.
Your love was a perfect circle,
That never ended.
Then in a flash my world shattered,
Like a cube being dropped
From the sky.
My dreams went from a convex shape
To a concave one that seemed to
Be continually caving in;
When I heard of your departure
From this sphere.
Alone, my soul collapsing
My life becoming a jumbled equation,
Including cube roots and probability,
While the original problem keeps changing.
Endlessly falling every day,
Running eternally from demons within,
With no end in sight.
Why this happened I do not know,
My plane of existence becoming
parallel.
Running from some evil unknown,
With this so called life I own,
All my thoughts are haunting me,
My dreams of terrier killing me.
One way out of this hell I know,
Just can’t bring the knife across the vein,
Somehow I know the death is slow,
But why can’t I just let go?
It seems as though
My sorrow never ends,
No chance to say goodbye.
The time we shared was
The light of my world;
But now it seems that light
Is dead.
The pain I feel comes every night
My life is empty of the light.
It hurts to dream of your face,
Remembering your warm embrace.
All my thinking,
Is a question,
Why o’ why did you
Get in that car?
Why did this happen
to you, I’ll never know.
My only comfort is
That I know you
now walk with
Christ.
